Troubleshooting for your Filterqueen Defender
Defender is loud and noisy:
This means your filters are colgged and need to be replaced.
To replace old filters:
Unplug the Defender from the wall.
Brig it outside and harmful contaminants are held in these filters.
Turn the Defender over.d
Unscrew the bottom nut that holds the machine together.
Take off the base of the Defender (sometimes the filters and the casing will stick, that's ok. That means you have proper airflow though the machine).
Remove the outside casing from the filters (this should just slide off).
Then remove the black charcoal filter (it is wrapped around the white medical filter and is held together by velcro).
This filter should be dirty and look almost white on the outside, meaning it is clogged and needs to be replaced with a new black charcoal filter).
Check the white medical filter (should be changed once [1] every year). If it is darker on the outside than the inside it should be replaced as well.
Replace the charcoal filter with a new one (should be replaced every 6 months).
Wrap it around the white medical filter and secure it tightly by the velcro strips.
Put it unit back together just has you took it apart.
Screw it all together by the nut on the bottom. Simply screw it back on until the nut stops.
Plug it back into the wall, turn it on and it will run like brand new.
